Recently I was working with a group at NASA to roll-out MS Project Server. Many of the projects were critical to "back to flight". They needed immediate access to MS Project Server but internal constraints with a contracted IT group were going to delay the EPM deployment. Over 250 of our heroes in white lab coats were going to have to delay their training and initial configuration for up to four months until the disputes over IT infrastructure was resolved. Our solution? We gave NASA secure access to our fully deployed MS Project Server and in less than a week they had full access to both a MS Project Server demonstration and training environment. By the time the IT infrastructure was ready to roll we already had everyone through the first phase of training and the EPM configuration well defined. And, well, the space shuttle is flying again!
