Synopsis:
This presentation provides a comprehensive overview of a deployed Enterprise
Project Management Solution based on Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project
Server. We use a combination of live data, handouts, overheads and lively
Q/A to help participants understand their roles and the overall magnitude
of an EPM deployment. Emphasis is placed on both the Project Management
and IT Organization's roles in a successful EPM deployment.

Everyone in your organization that can benefit from obtaining a better
understanding of a fully deployed Enterprise Project Management Solution
based on Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server including: Line

Intro #2: Microsoft Project First Steps
Duration: One Day (7 hours)
Synopsis:
A course for persons new to Microsoft Project. A “primer”
course designed to get you off on the right foot when you first start
using Microsoft Project 2003.
This course allows participants to become comfortable with using MS
Project 2003 enabling them to participate more fully in your organization’s
planning processes; and for those who have been understandably frustrated
at their attempts to “find their way” through Microsoft Project
application on their own.
Participants learn how to navigate around in Microsoft Project and get
a hands-on tour of the basic features for schedule development, introduction
to project planning, and an exposure to resource management. This is a
great place to start for novice users of Microsoft Project to get started
on planning their actual projects.
Who Should Attend:
Persons new to Microsoft Project; also a good "upgrade" course
for persons who have had some previous experience with older versions
of Microsoft Project. The course is appropriate for any participant in
the project management process to become more familiar with the capability
of Microsoft Project 2003. This course is great for persons who are learning
what it takes to understand and manage projects.
"Microsoft Project First Steps" is a great foundation course
that helps get a jumpstart on using Microsoft Project prior to beginning
our "Project Management Series".

Intro #3: Multiple Stakeholders
Use Microsoft Project 2003 Web Access Effectively
Duration: One Day (7 hours)
Synopsis:
This course provides a comprehensive understanding of what information
is contained in Microsoft Project Server Web Access and how multiple stakeholders,
each with differing needs and objectives, effectively interact with that
information.
Course Description
Participants will learn how each stakeholder group - Managers, Executives,
Clients, Project Managers, Team Leads, Resource Managers, Team Members
and custom organization specific groups navigate the Web Access interface,
access the information they need, view information according to their
profile, and create reports. The course will also show how each stakeholder
interact, respond, and manage status reports, issues threads, risk threads
and project documents.
Who Should Attend:
This course is for persons responsible for project reporting, communicating
multiple project information to multiple organizational stakeholders,
those requiring a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Project Server
Web Access. The course is equally appropriate for team members, project
resources, functional department staff, and interested parties.
This course is recommended for the Project Server Configuration Administrator(s)
and Configuration Team – persons given responsibility for configuring
the Microsoft Project Suite to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders
in an enterprise deployment.
